International Day of Action on Big Biomass!

Biofuelwatch joins groups from around the world to raise awareness of the impacts of large scale biomass. We have pulled together two videos for you to watch and share about some of the most common myths about bio-energy with carbon capture and storage, also known for short as BECCS.

The second video looks at Drax power station and BECCS. In June this year we published a written statement from Drax, revealing that the company’s claim that they are about to “deliver the world’s largest carbon capture power project” [2] are based on no real-world evidence at all and that they lack basic information about the capture process they intend to use.
