Will you join us this October?

21 October 2026 is the International Day of Action on Big Biomass. The theme is appropriately: False Solutions, Real Destruction. People across the world, all 5 continents, will be taking action in a huge WAVE of activities + actions to tell the world to stand up against woody-biomass corporations.

There are three great ways you can get involved:

1 🌆 LONDON ACTION: JOIN US!  We’ll be gathering to talk & take photos on Sunday 18 October at 12pm at The Scoop amphitheatre (by London Bridge / Tower Bridge). Please join us! We’d appreciate if you could register here – where there are more details.

2 🌲 LOCAL ACTION: ORGANISE IN YOUR COMMUNITY.  Think: photographs of your group in the woods / people holding placards in your local community / in front of trees and landmarks. Top up on why big biomass is so bad → then share your personal story and feelings as to why big biomass needs to be stopped…. Use the tag #bigbadbiomass to join the social media wave. Here’s the 2025 round-up for inspiration.

3 📰 CONTACT YOUR LOCAL PRESS: Use this amazing and detailed guide to tell the press about Drax. This will help the momentum against woody biomass, especially for powering data centres.

Please let us know if you have any questions email us at biofuelwatch@gmail.com. We’d love to chat.
